Gros Morne Adventures has a spirited team who is eager to share their home with you! Our guides have a passion for all things adventure. We ensure your utmost safety and comfort during our tours and we’re always open to questions and suggestions. On any day, visitors will be welcomed by the following team members at our beach front property in Norris Point.

  • Owners & Guides; Robbie and Kristen Hickey
  • Marine Manager; sea kayak, big canoe and zodiac daily tours
  • Cafe Manager; on-site Kayak Cafe, open daily for baked goods and hot beverages
  • Zodiac Operators; Transport Canada SVOP commercially certified
  • Marine Guides and Assistant Marine Guides; often local high school and post-secondary students
  • Front country & Backcountry Hiking Guides; Week long hiking vacations and Long Range Traverse

Join Our Team

We are currently hiring for the 2025 season, which is from May to October however contracts are varied. Several marine positions for students are open for the summer months, July and August.

  • Front Country Hiking Guide – positions from end of May to October
    -Guide hiking vacation packages for groups of 4-12 (new landing page link)
    -Guided hikes & custom itineraries for individuals and groups of up to 6 hikers
    -Wilderness First Aid & Commercial Drivers License required; Paddle Canada an asset
  • Backpacking Guide – positions from end of May to October
    -Guide wilderness backpacking trips; Long Range Traverse trek (backpacking trips page link)
    -4 days for small groups of 2-8
    -Position is multifaceted; often marine and front country guiding is included
    -Wilderness First Aid required; Paddle Canada an asset
  • Marine Guide – part or full time positions from June-September
    -Lead sea kayak, big canoe and zodiac tours
    -Paddle Canada & First Aid certifications required
  • Zodiac Operator – part of full time positions from June-October
    -SVOP, SDV-BS, ROC-MC and first aid certifications required
